Pikmin 2 coming to 'Nintendo Select' RangeWell we all know about Nintendo Select titles, think of them as 'Player's Choice' titles that were on the Gamecube or similar to the Platinum Range on Playstation, well yes, we've all probably seen them in the game shops.

Titles such as Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 and Twilight Princess have made it to the Nintendo Select range. Nintendo have announced that the Wii version of Pikmin 2, updated with motion controls will be hitting store shelves on June 10th in North America, along with Mario Power Tennis. The price at retail has been suggested - $19.99. Even though that should be cheaper in GBP terms, I reckon for us in the UK and those in the Euro will probably get the games for £19.99 and €19.99, though don't quote me on pricing, I'm not 100% sure. Popular Wii games Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Donkey Kong Country Returns will also be seeing price drops, going for the suggested price of $29.99. If you missed out on these smash hits, now's as good a time as any to pick them up and get caught up before the Wii U takes over. Very popular Wii titles such as Brawl and DK Country Returns will also be seeing price drops, going for suggested prices of $29.99, if you missed out on these titles in the US, now may be a good time to pick them up and get caught up on the action before the Wii U takes over, though I'm sure you can already find these titles pre owned much cheaper somewhere, especially if you're in the UK. We'll be sure to keep you updated with price drops worldwide folks. ![]() New Affiliation, Radio & PodcastsSo no doubt by now you've all heard of this Saturday's upcoming launch of Sky Sanctuary FM, including the event hosted by our own, Switch-Renn, if not then you should click here to find out more information.

Nintendo confirmed the news that it'll plan to support both third party and first party content for there new digital service, late last week Nintendo revealed that they would be starting this off with a downloadable version of New Super Mario Bros. 2 this August, so all self published games will be available on the launch day in digital and packaged forms. This will apply to both, 3DS and Wii U. A Nintendo Representative has told our sources that they are currently preparing a program for third parties, but have nothing specific to announce at this present time. Also, retailers shouldn't have to worry to much because digital content will not only be availible through the eShop, but also in retail stores as printed codes that can then be redeemed online, which would be a good idea for those who don't want to use there credit or debit cards on there 3DS or Wii U systems. Well It would seem that Nintendo are really going to try and take there new service to the next level, after all we can already get packaged retail games for download instead on places like, Steam and Playstation Store, but Nintendo are now looking to do the same with there own first party and soon third party titles, It sure is exciting, we really are entering the digital download age. Give us your opinion on this in the comments, folks! ![]() Source Wii U - Near Field CommunicationYes folks we've got some more news updates regarding the Wii U, it would seem that the Tablet Controller has more capabilities than we might have imagined, It would seem that if you place an object on the Tablet controller, It'll be able to interact with the game world on screen, the name of the technology is 'Near Field Communication', It'll of course no doubt be certain objects that can be used, I doubt you'll be able to place any old object on the screen, but we'll keep you updated with news on the NFC.

In other Wii U news, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has revealed the future of Nintendo's Digital Strategy's, It would seem that from the consoles launch date, Wii U software will be available in either traditional package form or as a digital download, however at this point only first party software will support this service, but third parties however may just jump on board in the near future.
