Wii U Price Plummets in EuropeGamestop retailers across the European Continent have slashed the prices of the Wii U system, both the Basic and Premium sets to help increase sales of the console.

The pricing for the Basic set has dropped from €299 to €199 and the Premium set has dropped from €349 to €249, €249 in USD is $323, so the price cut is very reasonable since most of you know that people in Europe and the UK were shelling out above the odds for the Wii U in the first place, however the UK has not seen any price drop at all, also please note these price drops are unofficial and Nintendo have not officially declared any Wii U price drop. It's pretty unclear for the time being whether or not these price cuts are going to last, though certainly they won't get cheaper anytime soon, so if you're based anywhere with the Euro Currency and near a Gamestop, now would be a good time to get a Wii U if you were looking into buying one. I suppose though a price drop for the Eurozone is good, since the Euro Currency is seeing seriously hard times, It's no secret countries throughout mainland Europe have been suffering recently Economy wise. We all remember the 3DS price drop, no word yet though is circulating as to whether or not Nintendo will be officially dropping the price of the Wii U console, though with the Playstation 4 due out this year and Microsoft working hard on the next Xbox, It wouldn't be to surprising if we saw an official price drop towards he end of this year, maybe in time for the holiday season? In other news we've included a new Trailer below this news article for Need for Speed Most Wanted U, which is due for release on the Wii U on March 22nd. One rather interesting fact that came from the interview is Shigeru Miyamoto admitting that the definitive moment Luigi become his own character was in the Gamecube title, Luigi's Mansion, which of course was a brilliant game, obviously by the time Super Mario Bros. 2 hit Europe and North America, Luigi was more than just a palette swap. But Luigi's Mansion was the first time since Mario is Missing for the NES that Luigi was given his own game. More interesting points in the interview include discussion about the upcoming DLC, New super Luigi U, which is DLC for New Super Mario Bros U. Miyamoto informs us that Luigi doesn't get his own story, but the levels have been designed for his strengths, Miyamoto was hestant to say whether or not Mario will get an appearance, many of you are eaerly awaiting the release of this expansion pack, so if you are intrested in checking out the full interview, you can do so by clicking here. In an interview with Edge Online, Executive Director at Ubisoft, Alain Corre spoke about how he feels Nintendo should proceed with into the future with the Wii U and his own personal thoughts on a price cut for the console; Quote from: Alain Corre We always want the hardware to be at a low price because we want as many fans as possible to afford to buy our games, so that’s for sure. We think that Wii U will find its public at some point. Some were expecting sales to be quicker but we are optimistic. I think Nintendo has said that the Wii U sales in general were below expectations originally and the software tie-in ratio is also stable, so I think that when less machines sell, less games sell. Also being aside from wanting a price cut for the Wii U console, Corre has re iterated that very early support for the system has been beneficial for Ubisoft in the long run; Quote from: Alain Corre It’s part of the Ubsoft DNA to be first on new technology and to innovate – and also release some games that have created some good momentum that we can use for the future. If we globalise all that we did and consider all of that then what we did on Wii U for launch was productive. Now despite fans being upset that Ubisoft have delayed Rayman Legends, no one out there can deny that Ubisoft has been a pretty damn strong supporter of the Wii U console thus far, with launch titles such as ZombiU and Assassin's Creed 3, Ubisoft continues to bring its titles to the console, we'll likely see more positive reactions from French Publisher. In other news, we are not getting a brand new Zelda game this year of course, but you all know by now that Wind Waker HD is coming to the Wii U as a gift to the loyal Zelda fanbase, we here at Sky Sanctuary are very excited to see the game in full HD with updated visuals, but the folks over at Cubed3 wanted to know how Win Waker will play on the Wii U console before we manage to get our mitts on the game. Below this news article is a mockup video showing what Nintendo might possibly do with the game and what fans can probably expect. Please leave your comments and let us know what you think of this video, enjoy! Source Source LoZ - Sky Sanctuary ::: Dev. Updates & DemosABOUT THIS TOPIC:

As I progress through the development, I will occasionally release little bits and parts of the game as playable 'demos' (all of the samples will be specially built so that they can't ever be modified by anybody, so the risk of someone claiming it is near zero). Here will be the place where I place links to download the samples (most likely via Dropbox). I will post instructions on how to easily run the game on your computer once I release a sample/demo. This is a perfect place for people to tell me what they like/don't like, and if they encounter any bugs or issues playing. I will take all comments into consideration however, don't get 'butthurt' if your idea isn't implemented. Some things I just can't add due to the nature of the ZC's quest building program. Or I just don't like your idea/ too lazy to implement it. SCREENSHOTS: Spoiler for Screenshots: Spoiler for Change Log: Spoiler for Bug List: Spoiler for Download: Spoiler for Install: Spoiler for Controls: What do you think? What direction should I take? The Legend of Zelda: Sky SanctuaryThis is our major announcement folks, we are officially announcing our sites new video game, The Legend of Zelda: Sky Sanctuary!!
